"The most kindness and compassion I've ever received in a clinic setting."

I cannot thank Dr. Black and the staff at VIWC enough for their care of me. […] I got to talk to Dr. Black a few days before to discuss my care options and share my concerns. He listened actively, with a trauma-informed approach to care. He was friendly and empathetic, and didn’t rush through our time together.

Everyone uses inclusive, non-judgemental language, so I felt safe as a queer person and as a sexual assault survivor.

The IUD insertion was 10/10 scary in my mind, but the actual experience was 2/10 scary and nearly painless (and I have had horrific, painful IUD and Pap smears in the past).

When I was done, I cried with relief.

"The doctor was so caring and capable. She made sure I was informed before the procedure and made me feel very comfortable. The clinic staff were great too and my appointment was on time.

Overall a fantastic experience."

"As a healthcare professional, I am incredibly impressed by your high standards of service. You are so organized with reminders, follow-up, and patient care.

I found all your team to be very welcoming, responsive, and professional.

If I had the power, I would decree that every clinic and hospital follow your example."

"The employees at the clinic are top notch. They are caring, compassionate and empathetic."

"The women at this clinic are amazing. I was nervous going in but the friendliness and helfulness of the staff but me at ease. The doctor explained step by step what she was doing and even had some suggestions for tests that my GP never thought to send me for. I have to go back for a follow up and have no reservations or fears about the next visit."

"Admin Staff,

I just wanted to say thank you. When I called I was very upset and the person I spoke to was kind, informative and didn't make me feel judged, in fact she was empathetic and showed sincere concern. Your jobs cannot be easy but for so many varying reasons your work is appreciated and helps lives.

Thank you for all you do"
